About this role

You will be exposed to an exciting new opportunity, providing cyber security policy, strategy and governance advice to our Australian Federal Government clients.

You will work in a highly skilled team under the guidance of industry experts providing real-time security advice and guidance to uplift our client’s cyber governance, risk and compliance. You will help our clients:

  • Collaborate with internal teams and external service providers to troubleshoot production issues across all interrelated systems.
  • Understand their security risks and propose mitigating solutions.
  • Uplift the cyber security stance and protect their systems.

To be successful

The role requires an individual who is capable and willing to perform duties associated with business analysis and technical analysis, and hold demonstrated knowledge and experience in agile project and program delivery within a government agency.

The candidate must be a self-starter, have a delivery focused attitude, and take accountability on identifying and solving problems which may hinder E8 control delivery.

The candidate will be familiar with delivery in multi-vendor environments and understand how to package work requirements that can be consumed by various audiences.

The role will require the candidate to hold a breadth of knowledge of enterprise IT environments, infrastructure, and Australian Federal Government cyber security policy (Protective Security Policy Framework, Information Security Manual, Essential 8) and can translate this into relevant, timely deliverables.

To work with our Australian Federal Government clients, you must be an Australian citizen and hold an AGSVA security clearance (minimum baseline).

Other essential requirements include:

  • a strong work ethic, ability to self-manage time to deliver outcomes as part of a dynamic team.
  • a professional and polite demeanour, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • experienced senior analyst who has proven ability to deliver E8 ISM controls either in programs, project, or operational efforts.
  • highly desirable to have prior exposure to the Enterprise IT environments, including cloud-hosted services, and multi-vendor delivery.
  • desirable to have awareness of project management methodologies and/or previous experience in delivering outcomes as a member of a project team.
  • effectively communication, collaboration, and engagement with enabling business units, security and design architectural groups and ICT service providers.

The following experience will be highly regarded:

  • familiarity with cyber security concepts
  • highly developed oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • being in Canberra, or the ability to relocate or travel for the role.
