Your new role

You will be exposed to an exciting new opportunity, supporting the delivery of cyber solutions to our clients.

You will work as part of a highly skilled team of industry experts providing technical architectural advice and guidance. Your work will assist our clients in transforming cyber systems and adopting cyber solutions including:

  • developing scalable and robust solutions aligned with the Essential 8 strategies to enhance cybersecurity posture across systems and networks
  • ensure alignment of service provider architecture documentation and Departmental IT delivery methodology architecture requirements
  • create detailed implementation plans for integrating security controls, based on Essential 8, into existing and new programs
  • work closely with business and UCT stakeholders, including application and operations team, developers, project manager and security teams, to ensure secure design and seamless implementation of cyber security measures
  • identify potential cyber security risks, assess vulnerabilities, and proposing necessary mitigations, through the development of threat model and key mitigating controls

  • Reviewing solution architecture and artefacts.
  • Designing secure architectural patterns and frameworks.
  • Solutioning cloud and on-prem network technology designs and documents to guide security solution delivery.

To be successful

You will need strong written and verbal communication skills, a drive to learn and develop professionally, and a keen attention to detail.

To work with our Australian Federal Government clients, you must be an Australian citizen and either hold or be eligible and willing to obtain security clearance (minimum baseline). Other requirements include:

  • a strong work ethic, ability to self-manage time to deliver outcomes as part of a dynamic team.
  • a professional and polite demeanour, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The following experience will be highly regarded:

  • extensive IT Solution Architecture experience in a large enterprise environment
  • can critically assess business requirements and document level and detailed system, network or infrastructure designs whilst considering enterprise strategy and industry best practice
  • is experienced in developing, presenting and obtaining endorsement of system solution designs, as well as Architecture principles, standards and guidelines
  • collaborates, communicates and engages effectively with business partners an system support teams on complex technical issues including strategies, planning, governance and risk management to share information, build consensus and drive positive outcomes
